Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LifeFolder. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement

LifeFolder is provided by Tuk Tuk Labs. If you use LifeFolder on behalf of a household or organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these Terms for them.

2. What LifeFolder is

LifeFolder is a private place to store, organize, and find your important life documents, with optional AI help. It is an organizational tool. LifeFolder does not file, renew, or submit anything to any authority on your behalf — when the app says "start renewal," it points you to the right checklist or information so you can act yourself.

3. Beta service

LifeFolder is an early private beta. Features may change, pause, or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may add or change functionality as we build toward general availability. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

4. Accounts

• You must be at least [16/18] to create an account.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password secure — you're responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly at hello@lifefolder.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Your content

Your documents are yours. You keep all ownership of what you upload. You grant LifeFolder a limited license to store and process your content only as needed to provide the service to you — including running the AI analysis you request. You're responsible for having the right to upload the documents you add, including any that relate to other people in your household.

6. Acceptable use

• Don't use LifeFolder for anything unlawful, or upload content you have no right to store.
• Don't upload another person's documents without their permission.
• Don't attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Don't misuse the AI features, or use the service to build a competing dataset.

7. AI features

AI features analyze a document or answer questions only when you ask. AI output can be incomplete or wrong, so always check important details (such as expiry dates) against the original document. You decide when AI runs, and suggestions aren't saved until you confirm them.

8. Not professional advice

LifeFolder helps you stay organized; it does not provide legal, financial, tax, immigration, or medical advice. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional.

9. Fees

The private beta is currently free. [If paid plans are introduced, pricing, billing, renewals, and withdrawal/refund rights will be described here.]

10. Termination

You can stop using LifeFolder and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service and other users. You can export or delete your documents before leaving, as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

LifeFolder is provided "as is" and "as available," especially during the beta. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LifeFolder and Tuk Tuk Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data beyond what the law requires. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Confirm liability wording with counsel.]

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], and disputes will be handled in the courts of [venue], unless local consumer law gives you other rights.
